Man vs. Elements 5th anniversary is SOLD OUT fish trip May 1-3, 2015. This year we rented a house that sleeps 20, 1 mile away from Depoe Bay Town with pool table, foosball & ping pong. Watching the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight in-house on Saturday, good times!!!!

met: 10am @cog wild | hit trail: 11:20ish| arrived: 3pm-ish @Pacific Pizza & Brew
Great trip this year with about 11 newbies. The conditions were perfect thanks to a little rainfall a few days earlier. We ran into about 15-20 runners in the beginning from the Flagline 50 & Alpine races finishing up but after that it was smooth sailing straight up that damn hill. No casualties to report I’m guessing mainly due to Johnny O’ or Jerry W. not being able to attend. We did have 3 flats & Jesse was forced to use his bike as a foot scooter for a few miles till he could repair his crank at the shelter. Many thanks to the staff and Jeff Johnson of Pacific Pizza & Brew for the beer and food at the end of the rainbow. Good times & we’ll see you next year!

Good times! Everyone met at 10am at Cog Wild & Pine Mountain Sports, we loaded up the bikes then drove up to Dutchman Flats. Kat took this amazing group photo with Mt. Bachelor in the background then we began our exhausting ascent to eventually later descend. One Crank fell off and 3 flat tires later the group eventually started arriving at Pacific Pizza & Brew around 3:00pm-ish. Great beer, great pizza, good times! See you next year!

I can’t believe we will be celebrating our 5th year skiing to Elk Lake! We are sold out again. Unfortunately, we cannot grow beyond 22 skiers due to sno-cat returns to Mt Bachelor being packed full. First dibs always go to previous attendees so this is a tough one to get in. If you’d like to be on a standby list, please let me know.
*Another way of attending is pre-setting snowmobiles or having someone pick you up or simply, spending the night at Elk Resort which is what Jay Moore is doing!

Bike Trip II – Rocked!
BIKE TRIP 2 WITH 29 RIDERS…..FRICKIN’ ROCKED!!!!

What a C R A Z Y but thrilling day for the 29 riders who attended! I believe this was the year the elements won. We were fortunate to have all survived, injury free and smiling. This 26 mile ride from Dutchman Flats to 10 Barrel will definitely go down in the MvE history books!
We rode through snow, mud, deep puddles, freezing temperatures, fallen trees and high winds. Some dealt with flat tires, eight with no breaks, a broken chain and one broken crank. Two even hitchhiked to 10 Barrel!
Would we do it again? Hell yeah! We’d just wear more clothes and ski gloves, itt was freezing!!!!!!! Special thanks to 10 BARREL & their staff for taking such good care of us, sorry about the mud. G O O D T I ME S FOR SURE!
