We played Sandpines (formerly Florence Golf Links) again and had epic weather for our 14 players. Most of us stayed in trailers, while the rest camped out at the casino. This year we mixed it up with two scrambles.

We had some great times… 🤣 See highlights and winners below.

Highlights:

Johnny O’s Golf Bio’s – O’Sully handled all the golfer intros before tee off, the real entertainment was watching him barely get through them, laughing at his own material. 😆🤣
Daryl’s 1 yard tee shot on the first hole! 😆 (see vid below)
Diane’s Margarita Shack (8th Hole) Diane once again cemented her legend status by serving up what may be the finest margaritas in Oregon. She and Beddy “helped” us putt, but just like our shots, nothing actually dropped. 🤣
Geoff – The Former GOAT Had himself a chip-in and a couple of lip-outs.
Brian K & Justin V Refused to be separated for scramble #2 so they could watch football together in their cart. Shocker: productivity stayed low until the margaritas kicked in. After that? Still low, but at least they were having fun. #caitlynclark
Danny’s Legendary Drive (Hole 3, Morning Round) Hit it 20 yards forward, pulled a 90-degree left turn, cleared a 40-foot tree, and somehow landed it by the green on Hole 4. Quite possibly the lousiest, greatest shot in scramble history.
Keith – Busted a drive straight out of Adam Sandler’s playbook, Happy Gilmore Style.
Domino’s Redemption Ordered 16 pizzas. Only needed 15 but this year, arrived on time! ordering them was a serious David Hasselhoff.
GOAT & KP Award – Jerry walked away with the GOAT award plus a KP. Ed joined the KP ranks, bringing thrift-store treasures and custom MvE stickers for the crew. You rock Ed!
Danny’s future acting career gets a jumpstart with a “free ice cube starter kit”, inspired by Charlie Sheen’s documentary. (inside joke amongst the Saturday night trailer hang.)
The Hukilau Experience – Christian the owner casually whipped out his gun for the group photo. Wha?! Nothing says “Aloha” like firearm safety. and Bradley, the sales kid hustled us all into buying merch. Made 5% commission, claimed $350 in sales that day and left us both broke and impressed. Future CEO in training. 💪 We pooled $ and tipped him in support of his impeccable skills.
Invisible Jerry – They skipped his meals at Hukilau, and even at the Dad Bods concert, Meg didn’t realize he was in the band after 2.5 hours on stage. 🤣🤷 The only people who claimed to recognize him this weekend were the two tweakers at the gas station in Noti. More on that below.
Jerry’s Deliverance Adventure – Gas stop in Noti turned into a horror movie: two tweakers claimed to be Jerry’s best friends. Meanwhile, his trailer barely escaped shaving the gas station post and roof by inches (see pics).
Final Verdict – Margaritas: 10/10. Golf: questionable. Deliverance flashbacks: unavoidable. Memories: priceless.
