Man vs. Elements 5th anniversary is SOLD OUT fish trip May 1-3, 2015. This year we rented a house that sleeps 20, 1 mile away from Depoe Bay Town with pool table, foosball & ping pong. Watching the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight in-house on Saturday, good times!!!!

Ski to Elk Lake IX – with the Ladies!
Saturday, February 10, 2024
9:00am Meet at Nordic Center
FYI – It’s a day trip only this year, we did NOT reserve any rooms.
It’s on like Donkey Kong!
ITENERARY:
- 8am – MASSIVE CARPOOL will be going on @Beau’s house: 19664 Hollygrape St at 8:00am “Cheap-ass coffee never tasted so good!
- 9am SHARP – Everyone MUST be at Mt Bachelor’s Nordic Center parking lot.
- 9:15am – hit the trail! It’s 11.2 miles but we stop about 6 times for beer, laughs & for Geoff to catch up… Warning: Snowballs will be thrown at those relieving themselves. Group photo taken at 1st stop
- 2:00pm – Arrive at Elk Lake. F**k yeah! You made it! Eat lunch, play LCR dice, get your Super Bowl squares.
- 5:00pm – Depart on Snow-Cats ($25 sno-cat fee is added to your food bill at the time). Approx. 1-hour ride back to cars. 🙂
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring cameras & take vids for website, Small backpack with trail mix etc, water, flask? BEER & BEER & BEER! Bag for trash, wear breathable attire, gloves, shades, $$ for lunch/beer at Elk Lake, $ for LCR dice and $ football pool.
SKI RENTALS:
Pine Mountain is asking for those renting skis to SHOW UP on FRIDAY, FEB 10th, to get skis (between 12pm – 5pm). Tell them you’re with Man vs. Elements… You MUST return skis on Saturday evening OR before 10am on Saturday to only get charged for 1 day.

11 players this year…. A few of us Trailor Swifted it in the Three Rivers casino parking lot… Everyone played 18 holes Friday then threw on the kilts for the 72 on Saturday. Beau, Wes & Jerry drove over Thursday night and got in 36 holes Friday
Saturday Scrambles:
1) 1st scramble Beau, Keith K. & Ed won despite only having only 3 in their group. (best drive, play your own ball in and take 2 best scores)
2) 2nd scramble: Jim, Jerry & Ed won despite having only 3 in their group. (playing from best ball on every shot)

Meanwhile, somewhere in Bend, Oregon…
This Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 marks Man vs. Elements’ 10th anniversary cross-country skiing from Mount Bachelor Nordic Center to Elk Lake Resort. There are 20 guys this year, 12 doing the day trip returning on snow-cats in the evening, with the other 8 staying overnight. The trip is about 10+ miles but takes us 4-5 hours to get there… Fireball, whiskey & beer tend to get in the way. As in life, it’s all about the journey and not so much the destination. Poor Man’s Golf & Gamble Trip 6 – PICS
Nov. 9-11, 2017
Let’s wear kilts! It started out as a joke but then the snowball kept a rolling… Next thing we knew, it was on like Donkey Kong. Man vs. Elements Golf & Gamble Trip 6 (in kilts!) was once again held in Oregon at the Florence Links Golf Course. We rented a house near the casino this year which worked out great. The weather cooperated nicely! To top off this weekend, Chris Walker aced the 17th hole with a 2-iron. It was his first ever and couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. The hole played about 210 yards with the wind.

Poor Man’s Golf & Gamble Trip V Returns To Sandpines Golf Links in Florence, OR
Man vs. Elements is having our 5th annual “Poor Man’s Golf & Gamble Trip” again this year in Florence, Oregon! We are staying at Seven Feathers Casino to “Gamble Like Rambo” then play 3 rounds at Sandpines Golf Links. And yes, there will be #beer #golfing #music & #goodtimes!
