What an epic trip! This was Man vs. Elements’ 10th anniversary sledging our way on cross-country & skate skis from Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center to Elk Lake Resort in about 5 hours (9am-2-10Pm / 11 Miles). The weather stayed out of the way for most of the trip & only started snowing the last 30 minutes. The downhill sections were pretty fast this year but no bumps or major rivets to deal with. About 5 of us challenged Devil’s Lake downhill this year… Beau made it down for the first time ever & shirtless… Dilly-Dilly. Shooting through the trees proved to be extremely tough this year after Devil’s Lake, took a few wrong turns. Geoff will never follow Beau into the woods again. The sno-cat rides back were very smooth this year so nobody had to jump out and call the seals this year. Good times!
