Ski to Elk Lake XIII
Saturday, February 11 – 12, 2023
9:00am Meet at Nordic Center

You Can choose to only do a day trip or stay overnight.  (Last trip overnighters get first dibs on cabin space).  

It’s on like Donkey Kong!

ITENERARY:

• 8am – MASSIVE CARPOOL will be going on @Beau’s house: 19664 Hollygrape St at 8:00am “Cheap-ass coffee never tasted so good!
• 9am SHARP – Everyone MUST be at Mt Bachelor’s Nordic Center parking lot.  
  
• 9:15am – Group photo then hit the trail!  It’s 11.2 miles but we stop about 6 times for beer, laughs & Geoff to catch up… Warning: Snowballs will be thrown at those relieving themselves.
• 2:00pm – Arrive at Elk Lake.  F**k yeah! You made it! Eat lunch, play LCR dice, get your Super Bowl squares.
• 5:00pm – Depart on Snow-Cats ($25 sno-cat fee is added to your food bill at the time).  Approx. 1-hour ride back to cars.  🙂
• Overnighters: We have cabins 20 & 27 have been reserved. Depart time early morning. We will carpool fo’ sho’!

WHAT TO BRING:

Small backpack with trail mix etc, water, flask? BEER & BEER & BEER!  Bag for trash, wear breathable attire, gloves, shades, $$ for lunch/beer at Elk Lake, $ for LCR dice and $ football pool.
Please bring cameras & take vids.

SKI RENTALS:

Pine Mountain is asking for those renting skis to SHOW UP on FRIDAY, FEB 10th, to get skis (between 12pm – 5pm).  Tell them you’re with Man vs. Elements…  You MUST return skis on Saturday evening OR before 10am on Sunday to only get charged for 1 day.
